The goal is simple: avoid calling a lead back too soon after a call that did not result in a conversation, then return them to the list at the right time.
In short: progressive lead pause temporarily sets aside leads whose call did not result in a conversation, then automatically returns them to the calling queue after the selected delay.
When a lead is Frozen, they remain in their list but are temporarily removed from the leads to call.
Glossary — Frozen lead: this status is applied when an attempt does not result in a conversation, for example when no one answers, the line is busy, or the call is canceled. With the parallel dialer, it also applies to the other calls still in progress when Ubic keeps the first connected call. Frozen does not mean deleted or blocked.
With progressive lead pause, Ubic waits before returning the lead to the list:
first pause: the lead returns after the first configured delay;
next pause: Ubic moves to the next phase;
with each new pause, the delay can become longer.
Without an automation, the lead remains frozen until they are returned to the calling queue. With progressive pause, Ubic does this after the configured delay.

These are two different concepts:
Call status shows where the lead is in the calling workflow: queued, frozen, completed, or failed;
Lead status describes the sales outcome: Voicemail, Demo scheduled, Not interested, Wrong number, and so on.
An automation can use the call status to decide what to do. The lead status remains the qualification shown in the history, reports, and CRM syncs.
A lead managed by Ubic can display a cycle indicator. It shows why the lead is frozen and when they will return to the list to call.
Members can view cycles linked to their lists. Configuration is reserved for workspace admins.
Progressive lead pause does not place calls automatically. It simply returns the lead to the list to call once the delay has ended.
If a lead status is applied automatically when a lead exits a cycle, it follows the same CRM sync rules as a status selected after a call.
